You are lucky to be 10 mins from there...awesome track, challenging greens and always in great condition...
Played Casselview yesterday for the first time. Really nice track. Overall great shape. Greens were a bit inconsistent from one to the next, but overall great pace and rolled nice.
Looking for recent feedback on conditions at Packenham and Pineview?
Thanks,
played Pakenham yesterday , the course has slipped overall from 10 years back condition wise but I have grown to accept that. Most fairways are in decent shape and most greens are very good (fast). Tee boxes are poor, as are the sand traps. They are making the course more playable for the causal golfer, moved the tees up on #3 & #5 on lake and cut down 2 trees in the fairway on #5 Canyon.
You can get in a 3-4 hour round even on weekends ( 4 some @ 3.5 yesterday ) and reasonably priced.
Golfed Pineview Executive today and it was good, lots of golfers on both courses.
Thanks for the answers on both courses. I had played the Pineview Executive course not too long ago, more interested in the championship course.
I have also heard Stitsville is in good shape.
In case no one mentons it when it when you call to book a tee time there, Le Sorcier's greens are punched and the heavy rain hasn't helped them, this, as of Saturday when I played there.
A lot of places are aerating their greens at this time of year, so it does pay to ask, but the quality of the aeration varies. I've played each of the following courses in the past 2 weeks, but remember, it is just my opinion.
Perth greens were slow but pretty consistent within a few days of aeration.
eQuinelle was good after 10-14 days. Not rolling like the summer, but good.
Sand Point was not good even after 10-14 days. It looked like not enough sand to fill the holes so putts were jumpy. However, overall the course was in really good condition so for a late October tee time, I was more than happy to play there. Also, they were pouring a new, large concrete base for the washrooms near #5 Green (I believe), the fairways were well kept, the rough trimmed down nicely, and the fallen leaves were not a problem. Looks like the new owners are doing lots of good maintenance.
Tarps in the bunkers on most holes at Hunt Club in preparation for covering the greens. Countdown is on. Hopefully can play another couple games before they put the course to bed
Course is absolutely supper right now. Best I can remember for this time of year. Greens were still 10.5-11 on the weekend and super smooth. Alas, all good things must come to an end
Played Pineview last week---good conditions---Equinelle---good---and Cobden yesterday---good conditions very playable. No 7 closed--they are adding 2500 feet of drainage tile. Coupon for 10.00 green fee for next year :thumbsup
