Wow! Who knew Tiger Woods and I had so much in common? :-)
Now that made me laugh way to go Reid
If other players are being dragged into the book I'm sure were going to start hearing rumors of weather or not these events are fact or fiction. Or does tigers fellow players stick up for him and deny it all.
Wow i love him even more now.
You mean he's actually human and has character flaws like the rest of us?! Shocking!!
Hank states he originally busted his knee is a Navy Seal "Kill House" Exercise

Greatest golfer ever and biggest loser as a human being.
This should be good for a couple more book sales.
That's a great question - I am sure there are people on this forum that may have humiliated their families, maybe not as publicly as Tiger but that's not beyond anyone else. Things aren't always as they seem behind closed doors, I think people seem to forget that. Plus I was simply implying that if we all think that these professional athletes don't have character flaws and issues, THAT might be the real problem. I am certainly not condoning Tiger or what he did (god knows that horse has been beaten to death and made into glue here). The guy has made billions...I can only assume that his daily experiences are going to be completely different than my own; Tiger is his own person WTF do I care what he does with his time. Personally I haven't been propositioned by "multiple Ho's" or have billions of dollars for that matter. I can only assume that if those opportunities were to arise that I am strong enough to say no...but until then I really have no idea.
How much can you possibly know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?

We've all had 'opportunities'. Tiger's transgressions went well beyond normal 'opportunities'. It seems pretty clear he sought them out. I'm sure if the 'opportunity' arose for me to have a 'Golden Shower' that I could find it in myself to decline :-)
You might be in a different mindset with ohhhh hundreds of millions of dollars to burn and people/women throwing themselves at you constantly.
I don't think so... and anyone who knows me would probably support that.
His fans love to make excuses for Woods, but the fact of the matter is there are lots of pampered, spoiled professional athletes and very, very few end up in a mess like the one Tiger made for himself. It's not like the women with whom he had relationships were fans who were throwing themselves at him. They were for the most part porn stars, casino gals and hookers which he went out of his way to meet. Then the occasional waitress and neighbor thrown in for good measure.
You don't accidentally find yourself in the back rooms at Vegas... you have to go there.
I think I respect him even more now...
My you was more of a generic "you" not addressing you personally just saying that alot of men would have a hard time saying no to temptation. I'm a big fan and don't feel like i need to make excuses for him, he's a golfer and he's amazing and he did some naughty stuff in the background, which he probably does not regret. Who am I to judge.
The fact of him being cheap does not mean anything, a large percentage of rich people I have met are actually cheaper than people who are of average wealth and income.
And that is the definition of being cheep. It's not a good trait. People of average means resent it.
Sorry, I was on vacation... otherwise I'd have responded to this thread earlier. :)
I wouldn't have done this myself, but I have to laughQuote:
Haney, who served as Woods' coach for six years, said the golfer ordered a 24-hour adult-movie station during the 2006 Ryder Cup to irritate his roomie, Zach Johnson, a devout Christian.
Well I think what you're trying to say is that leaving people to pick up your bill is a bad trait. I don't look at that as being cheap I look at that as pulling a d!ck head move.
I don't have a problem with what he did to Zack Johnson, it sounds like it was all in good fun. My buds and I play pranks and jokes on each other all of the time. Heaven for bid for him to have some fun in his life...I certainly hope no one bad mouthing him here complains that he doesn't do good interviews or give generic responses to the media, cause this is the exact reason why. Let's keep in mind that all of these activities are being told through the eyes of one person who had a falling out with Tiger Woods. I am not saying that what he's saying is untrue, but there's no evidence that he isn't taking a biased approach to writing it. Just because we haven't seen any of Hanks skeletons, doesn't mean he's a great person. I think people need to be a little more objective and understand that Hanks word isn't necessarily the end all.
I know is sounds like I am defending Tiger, I don't mean to, but I think people are reading excerpts from the book and taking it as gospel. Taking excerpts from a book can be made to look a certain way as well - the same way they do in previews to next episodes on TV where they make you believe that something happens and it's really the opposite.
Personally I am going to read the book and I think it will be interesting.
He's a real person, and I now find him even more hilarious. He deals with real problems off the golf course and actually seems to have feelings and emotion. He may be a bit of a *****, but who says because your the best golfer you have to be everyone's role model. There are an extravagent amount of pro athletes who are much worse than Mr.Woods.
This is funny from the article, "The disruptive timing of this book shows that Haney's self-promotion is more important to him than any other person or tournament," Steinberg said."
And this is wrong why? because the friend or teacher/student expected trust from each other? or because Hank is thinking of himself?
Well Tiger knows a little something about that, doesn't he?
At least someone has the guts to show some light on the true tiger, I am sure a lot more people know a lot more but are also "afraid" of tiger in some way.
It's too bad Elin couldn't have told tiger where to go and told the whole story as she knew it.
I feel Tiger is still the same self centered idiot who is not being true to himself.
What I would have really liked is when he returned on the first tee for the first time after all this, he should have showed up with some playboy bunnies and Gene Simmons with "Rock and Roll ALL Nite" playing in the background. If he would have embraced his inner tiger, then that would have been the most honest thing he could have done.
He made hundreds of millions from his sponsors (and from the golfing public) on his image of strength and reliablility and wholesomeness, which is all a farce. He is still promoting his golf game which is for kids.
Pretending he is anything other than a great golfer or that he is or has changed, is ridiculous.
I just love watching his ass get whooped like Phil done recently, just loved it.
