My brother golfed the Banff Springs course on his honeymoon several years back, and recommends it highly. Besides that, http://www.golftherockies.net/ might be of some help.
I hope to get out west to golf in some future year. It's the prettiest part of Canada, imho. Enjoy!:)
Hi,
You can play the Canmore golf club in Canmore, Silvertip is Ok but expensive. Stewart Creek is great!!! Try for a twilight rate and if you have a car go to Kananaskis play Kidd its the best of the two. Banff is expensive and Kananaskis will give you better sight lines. Bring the camera and don't forget the ball flies about 10% longer.
Have fun
Unless things have changed, I would recommend the one that has an open tee time. Have fun. :)
So i ended up playing Silvertip , and i must say it is amazing , in all fareness , it has a couple of gimicky holes, but the elevation on the course is spectacular on some cases .
It was easy to get a tee time , and the afternoon rates were reasonable in comparison to peak rates ($100 after 3pm ,$175 peak)
I had a blast ,shot a decent 86 , and got some amazing photos
Gorgeous! I love the Rockies.
and a few more ...
Stunning!! :thumbsup :thumbsup
Awesome photos. It's nice being only a few hours from there. I love the mountains!
Really nice, sounds like a great trip.
Gorgeous pictures! I envy you!
The view is from Banff Gondola
Wow Will, that looks like it was a great trip indeed. That course looks great. To make me even more jealous, I believe you had great weather too!
My wife and I are in Calgary visiting. We are playing River's Edge tomorrow, Priddiss Greens Friday and 2 courses near Dawson Creek Monday and
Tuesday. We live in St. Thomas but spend a lot of time in Alberta and BC. Love the foothills and the mountains.
