I just glued up a 455DB w/ an Argent on Tuesday. I haven't butt trimmed or put the grip on, but the waggle test feels pretty stout for an S flex. Obviously that is totally unscientific, as I have not hit it yet. There sure isn't much info out there as far as real world experience with these shafts.
Equally unscientific is that the Argent looks awesome w/ the DBs red...:-)
Look forward to your field report as I'm considering the Argent as well.

It is weird..They frequency approx 20 cpm lower than the other 2 in the RLM family. When you waggle it you would think it is a wet noodle.... until you hit it. Long and straight! You know exactly where your clubface met the ball...great feed back, yet solid!
I have not hit the Argent as yet but have hit the Basalt!
It too has a very solid feel! Feed back from both is excellent.
Very tight...Really no need to flo (but I do anyways)

I have built fairway woods using the Argent Shafts and like the lighter siblings...very solid feel, good trajectory, good results. Sold the first Demo out of the bag on the first outing!
I have also built a high loft , (14.5* Indio) on a Miridio "A" for my wife, well actually it was built to be a "DEMO". She really loved her other driver and was reluctant to try it!
I built it to 43". Out of the bag on to the first tee, she swings and hits the best drive that I have ever seen her hit! She continues with it the entire round and even her misses were on the fairway! Needless to say it has found a home.
I had to try it.... Long and straight and a sweet feel!
This is now my recommended Driver for anyone with slower swing speeds.

How do you categorize margin on a "Happy Wife" or is that an oxymoron ?
I believe the accounting term for that is "Goodwill".
In inventory as a "DEMO" therefore it will eventually be under "advertising expense"!
Well, I finally got a chance to hit the Argent. I built it for a friend, so of course I let him have the first go at it... He brought it back to me upon my request so I could have the chance to feel it at the range. He is very happy with the results so far.Quote:

Very solid shaft. Nice and stable. It an easy swinger, despite it's added heft. It has a feeling of tightness, w/out boardiness or making me feel like I need to rip it. I got a nice mid trajectory out of it.
Distance was about norm. This is a good choice for when control driver is at a premium. I could also see how it would be great in a fairway wood. It has an easy swinging feel to it which would probably be great for long shots off the deck, feelwise.
It looks really nice too... fit and finish is great. You should see it w/ the red DB. :cool

My Miridio's were waiting for me when I got home yesterday.
I'm going to shaft one of them up tonight in my Wishon 915CFE. Look for a review after Saturday's round.

That's why I have a stable of drivers Geoff. I can tinker with one and if it doesn't work I've still got a backup. Or two. :D
I haven't decided what length to make this. I normally play a 44" in graphite but I'm tempted to try it at 44.5" or maybe even 45".
Report from the range.
I decided to build driver #1 to 45". Clubhead is a Wishon 915CFE 11.5* with a Lamkin midsize cord grip. The assembled swingweight is D2.
First of the Miridio is a slick looking shaft. Sky blue satin finish.
After warming up I hit the rest of the bucket alternating between the 915CFE and my 525. Before reshafting the 915 I could never tell the difference between these two clubs at the range distance wise. The same has been true on the course as well. Well hit balls go to pretty much the same landing areas.
However, with the Miridio installed the 915 was definitely longer on average. The best hits with it I could see roll up to the top of the hill at the back of the range whereas the 525 would only just make it to the base. This was consistent for the entire session. I'll be curious to see what this translates to on the course.
Feel on the Miridio is very solid. It certainly feels a little more stiff than the Mercury Kevlar that's in the 525. Both are nice, just different.
Answer to the "on the course" question is.................
I still can't hit 45" drivers consistently. I hit two bombs with the 45" club today but also mi**** many more than I usually do.
Got home from the course and cut it down to 44".

Since I also need to do an apples to apples on the Wishon heads I shafted up the 525 with a Miridio at 44" as well.
I took both of the 44" drivers to the range at lunch. I pounded the ball with both drivers. Much more consistent than 45". I really like the feel of the Miridio.
Can't wait to take them out to the course.
Just realized that I hadn't updated this thread.
My first few rounds with the Miridio at 44" I still wasn't as consistent as I usually am off the tee. It took me a while to realize that I now have to tee the ball a little higher than I used to. I'll chalk that up to either a side effect of the lower weight or less shaft droop. With that problem fixed, I'm hitting the ball very solidly now.
Based on the very smooth feel and good results, I'd recommend the Miridio if you're looking for a lightweight shaft.
