Try Jeckell Island also, it is picturesque and uncrowed. Big Mac goes for a month each year to Hilton head..
Hey Lance---there are about 30 different tracks---some are a 3 course layout--golfing on the island is more expensive then off island. How long are you going for and where are you staying. Right now we are just outside of Phoenix and getting itchey--80 degees. I think I have some info in the car--will check back in later tonight :)
We are staying at Spinaker or something like that.. Playing at Ship Yard and Port Royal.. May play Harbour Town as well..
one of my friends just said his co-workers went there and they are saying for 4 days, playing 4 rounds and the total (including room) is $100 each!!!! how is this possible
are you getting the same sort of deal? If so I'm organizing a trip down there. Where is this place??
Our trip is 5 days accomidations, 5 rounds of golf for 160 each.. Now there is a cart fee everyday of 30 bucks but still.. 300 for golf, accomidations and carts is tough to beat..
and where is hilton head?
lazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzy
but ok, I checked. we got a similar deal when we went to ORL. what a wicked trip that was.
Lance--it looks like you hit it OK---March is swing time for prices---your courses are decent--you will enjoy. I was going to suggest siting in on a time share preentation if time permits--they hand out coupons for a few of the courses--it usually works out to 30.00 per round with cart.
I am not sure if the timing is right---Comfort Inn on South Forest Beach----Mon to Thurs---39.00.
If your wearing shorts make sure you have lots of insect repellant if your going to hunt for balls--or you will have sand flea scars into August.
If your driving on the island watch your speed---I think you will find all the food prices very fair----Check out Belks dept store---Dockers golf slacks 20.00----name brand golf shirts from 15.00---ask the girls when the sales start-have fun.
Sorry guys--just waking up again :-) its a little wierd trying to find info for prices etc---each "resort" has their own website but it is harder to find the actual website for the actual golfcoures---you have to "dig" and information is not forthcoming unless you actually ask specifically. As we did not book at a "resort" we were at a disadvatage for a few days but caught on prety fast. They want your $$$$ and will sell their grandmother---if the weather looks iffy the price is cheaper.
It's really a great place to go-you just have to look a little harder.
Hoolio I would just use an 800 # to get started and go from there----do it before Easter because once that happens it get very very expensive. We have been for 3 years and not a drop of rain---good luck
Looks like we are going to play Harbour Town while we are there.. Pricey but hopefully it will be worthwhile to play a PGA tour stop.. Only a couple weeks after too so condition should be good.
I had a deal to stop at kingsmill where they lpga plays the michelob ultra in May but you bunch of pansies wouldnt leave a day early.... at least lance has an excuse.....kind of...
We just got back from Hilton Head last week. Played Port Royal Barony and Robber's Row. Most of the greens were in very poor shape at both courses. Robber's Row had some greens where the grass failed to grow so they were sandy. All the courses we played were fairly short but lots of doglegs, trees, and houses. We still enjoyed the golf and would not hesitate to go back.
If you get a chance, go to the Tanger Outlet mall right off the 278. There is a Golf outlet place that had some pretty good prices on balls and gloves.
