Anyone seen the local rule e-5 posted anywhere they have played. Do you just go ahead and play by that rule anyway. Seem that the local rule should have been made the standard and the old rule should have been the local rule. Yet to see the new local rule posted anywhere.
I'm a member at Rideauview and it's posted in our locker room.
My guess is that at most public courses they don't bother since there isn't a membership per se. I imagine the semi-private clubs would have it posted somewhere.
Most clubs in the British Isles have not adopted it for official play. CONGU (the handicapping authority) will not accept the local rule for handicap counting scores so clubs have decided to leave it to organisers of 'unofficial' groups to decide on using it or not.Quote:
