Has anyone shot under par at a sim in Ottawa? I shot a sizzling 81 last weekend @ Pebble Beach - thought I had mastered the sim for quite a few holes until I found trees on the fairway on one hole and blew my game to crap...

I had a 78 recently. I find it really depends on how well you can keep it in the fairway, because you can suffer more than you should by hitting it into a bush or some trees. The result can easily be a double bogey or much worse.

I got a 75 @ Pinehurst #2 last year. I haven't gone to the sim's this year.
71 at Pinhurst #2 home of the 2005 US Open. :noddin
76 At Doral, Last week !!
i shot a 59 last week
i shot a 59 last week...
What was that? On the front nine?
Shooting low is easy enough on those sims mrmulligan
Did u have the 12 ft putts?
As for 59, i believe him, I saw a friend shoot 59 last month.
Personal best is -10 three times and not happy with more than -5 scores :noddin
I had an 83 earlier in the year at kapalua, combined with about 8 or 9 beers :-)
Shot 59 a couple weeks ago. Still bitter about not winning any skins :lol
Lots of -6 to -9's over the years. Gotta love the 12 ft gimmies at GolfoMax. Best on the new software is -2 I think before Xmas.
Low scores are easy to post on SIMs if you play a lot on them. It’s the short game and the putting that is hard to figure out. After that, you can go very low compared to what you regularly play outside.
That is very true mberube.
I witnessed Garth's 59.:not-worth
My best is -6 and I am usually + 4 to - 4. There are several people who kick my butt outside, but I can score better than they can on the sims. Playing weekly (or more) you get the hang of the short game. Most of my missed greens are up and downs because I can usually hit that huge 24' diameter "gimmie zone" with a chip. :D
I play once or twice a year. Putting and chipping is so hard for me on them. I’m a feel player and I usually pick a spot where to land the ball and let it react. Very hard to do on the sim’s but still pleasant to play with beer and friends. :)Quote:
