Anyone know how far south one would need to go to find a golf course that's open?
I'm considering Ocean City but wondering if there's anything closer that might be open this time of year.

Desperation has officially set in. I feel your pain. Sorry can't help you here. it might be cheap to fly to florida.
It's true. What really put me over the edge was the weekly OG desktop wallpaper from last week. It was #14 Le Giant I believe, and what a great picture.Quote:

I was actually starting to consider seriously the road trip to Kingston a few weeks ago.
What about the overnight trip to Hamilton in mid-March?

dHacka: We have four days of golf and are playing each of the courses (Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes (twice), and Bandon Trails.
For those that wish to feel jealous, check out the course tours.

In case you are interested, just booked fllights to Orlando from Syracuse, came to about $250 US per person, same flight from Ottawa was about $800 cdn after taxes etc added in.
If I wasn't jealous before I sure am now. Those courses look fantastic, you better hit it straight though!Quote:

It's also "real" golf. No carts, no spa, no shopping.
To started2K3, not sure about the caddie yet.
Just an FYI - Clint Eastwood purchased the rights to make the book Golf In The Kingdom into a movie & it's going to be filmed at Bandon.
It's supposed to be released in June...

Myrtle Beach is 16hrs driving time (leaving in 380:40:10!!!) at a moderate pace - can be done in 15-ish if you hustle. I imagine anything over the hills in Virgina (towards I-95) would be open, but weather has been kind of sucky last week or so.
