if my irons need to be bent 2 dgr flat,would that be the reason I tend to take the ball left? (assuming I am right handed and I have the proper shafts)

Yep.
A 5 handicap friend's shot pattern with his new Hogans was to have the ball 10' start right of target and hook to say 30' left of target, with a 6 iron. I flattened the heads 2.5* and immediately he was on the flag, with a little left tendency still remaining. At 4* flat he was fine.Quote:

The lie angle determines direction, however, if your hook is huge , it is you, if it subtle, it could be your clubs. Have them dynamically checked.
Remember too, that if your lies are off by say your 2*, you will go farther left with the short irons than you will with the long irons.
Shots start straight and finish with a tail left (worse on shorter irons) dynamically checked is I assume on a lie board? I play Hogan irons
approx index currently 12-15 can you reccomend a fitter? I am in Richmond area.
