was checking the Malone Web site today. Packages rates for 2010 are up. Prices are around $25 less what they were last year for a 2 day package!

I see the green fee rate is $38 east course for monday to Thursday do you have to take a cart have never played it planning on trying it heard its nice
Always took a cart as it was part of the package but I have seen people (members) walking it.
With the mild winter so far(hope I dont jinx it),any ideas on when we would be able to play.
A friend of mine played it on the 22nd of March last year. There's supposed to be a snow storm brewin this week over the Lakes...don't knwo how that will affect things, but if they don't get dumped on too bad this week I can't see it being much longer than that.
Very nice courses.
Had a tourney there with about 50 guys for 10 years and loved the course. But the lodgings around there sucked. Tried them all and the boys were not pleased. If they get a better place for 50 plus guys to enjoy ourselves in a private banquet room, I will definetly be back, the courses are great and Derek the director of golf there is just a great person. Just my humble opinion IMHO.
Felix,
Agree with you 100%...We still go every year and yes the the places to stay suck. Were there April 30th and May 1 this year and the only thought about not going this year is because of the motels..
There is a new place at the Casino but thats a tough drive early in the morninig (30 min to course)
I have gone down with just 4 guys, stayed at a very, very nice B&B and a package was offered as well. Just can't hook it up for 40 guys...to bad...
Now We get to stay at the Amazing SUNSET Inn Resort...puke...
hi
never been to malone but considering it this year. any of you who have been there, can you tell me which motel listed on their website is closest and best to stay at?
thanks for the info
We've stayed at the Super 8 the last couple of years. Had no problems and it's only 5mins from the course.
how about the 4 seasons motel, anything on that one as well?
I believe we stayed at the Super 8 as well, clean decent Motel. Most of the Motels are like 5 minutes from the course. I can't remember the name of the place we stayed at the first time, they were like little cabins, would never stay there again...
Have stayed at the EconoLodge the past 4 years. Nice and clean - does the trick. They also have a restaurant/bar on site which is nice to have around. We get the package through the hotel for 1 round Friday, 2 rounds Saturday and 2 rounds Sunday. 1st rounds of the day have cart included. You also get breakfast at the course on Saturday and Sunday. Also, 2 drink tickets to the restaurant at the hotel. I think the price we were quoted for this year was $325.
