This is the place to ask questions on the mechanics of the swing etc.

  1. Driver Pop Ups

Latley I have had a bad case of popping the ball way up with my driver. My tee is set so the ball is half way up the face of the club. Any idea what I can do to get out of this funk?? Thanks. Any suggestions are great!! milner

  2. Angry Hit Impulse

When I start a round swinging slowly (thinking slow from the top), this carries out throughout the round. I broke 100 this year for the first time using this approach. However, the hit impulse creeps in and this too carries out throughout the round. It makes sense to simply use the slowed tempo...

  3. Strange distances

Im just wondering why i might be hitting my irons so much farther than my woods. I hit my driver about 245 on a good hit but i can hit my 3 iron like 215. With short irons its even worse i hit my sand wedge about 115.

  4. Correcting a block off the tee

While I'm replying to other enquiries on much the same thing, I wonder if there's other tips out there to help me with high blocks off the tee. I'm 5'7", a lefty in golf, and play a 45 inch Titleist 975J Driver with reg flex Penley shaft, and more often than not I start the ball down the middle...

I just started playing golf about 1 month ago, and I'm shooting around a 51 score on 9 holes (par 36 course). Hi all, I'm looking for some drills to help with my outside in swing. As a bit of background, I've been working on a swing change to obviously, improve my game. I used to be way laid off at the top resulting in me coming way from the outside in. I've improved that to 'straighten out' my...
