Golf talk that doesn't fit in one of the other forums

  1. Why isn't golf in the Olympics?

They just got rid of baseball. IF golf was an Olympic sport that would be amazing. its such a huge sport right now and its growing so fast. Whoever won a gold medal, they would be national hero. Ian Thorpe, Micheal Felps, marion jones became national heros after their wins. It would be bigger than...

Hey Guys, I do spend a few days a week at the gym trying to maintain and certain level of fitness. It had dawned on me recently that what I want out of weight training is the same thing that could be attained by a golf specific program. Does anyone here train on a regular basis particularly for...

You’re a freak I am a freak. A lot of ink has been spilled over clubs and instruction yet very little about what goes on in your mind during a golf round. Does your mind wander? Mine does all the time. While I’m on the third hole I’m already thinking about the 17th hole and what could go wrong....

  10. I like the golf stories

One thing I like best on this forum is the recounting of "great moments in golf". Whether a beginner or not, what moments got you hooked? What moments made you feel like a pro? Whats your favourite part about golf?

  14. A lot more yards these days.

Is it just me? Played the Champlain yesterday and my drives were much longer than usual. I ended in places where I had never been before. The fairways are not irrigated and with the little amount of rain we've had lately the course is very dry. Any similar experiences elsewhere?
