SLOW PLAY is not only prevalent in casual rounds but tournament rounds, as well. Unless one IS a slow player, rounds exceeding 5 hours generally upset the natural momentum or flow that most of like to play with in order to play our best. In the tournaments at which I have helped to officiate...

Not to get into my day today but how many people think a marshall's job is to help players? If a marshall sees a ball bounce off a drainage grate and into the fescue while 20 yards away from the ball should he/she not get out of their cart and help locate the ball?

Bored on lunch today I decided to go hit a new R9. First of all, wow. This thing hits so much nicer than my SQ5500. I began wondering if I could break 300 with it but kept falling short (295-297). Is it a limitation or am I just not strong enough?

Does anyone here use Plumb-bobbing? A missed putt is worse than an ob in my opinion. I have a hard time reading breaks unless I get it past the hole. I often read a break one way and the ball breaks the other way. :irked: So if you're familiar with the technique or have had success using that...

If you are putting well, what is the number that you strive for? Or in other words, if you look back at your round and made x # of putts, what amount of putts will make you feel like you had a good day on the greens?

Well since where giving are best scores, what are peoples worst scores? SInce I don't usually count my score if I'm playing bad, I don't know what mine would be, but definetly triple digits.

As an amateur have you ever choked? How did you overcome it? Did you lose it all? I have on many occasions. It is a natural process imo and also has a lot to do with confidence level. So my question is: How can you control your emotions better?

I was just curious to see what kind of grip most people use. I used an interlocking grip until very recently when I switched to the ten finger/baseball style grip.

I've been playing for about 5 years now, and I've finally got my first pair of golf shoes. After using beat up cross trainers for most rounds I can't wait to get out to the course with some actual GOLF shoes. Hopefully they will improve my balance and stability on my relatively high torque swing....
