another 2 goals tonight gives him 9 in 18 games - on pace for 40 goals. He's a great 2 way player who has refound his scoring touch and plays with as much heart as anyone out there. I think he has a shot of making it on the 4th line but is likely still a long shot.

Sorry for the exclamation marks, but i felt they were necessary. This team is just incredible. They never stop skating, never stop hitting, and play the most sound hockey i've seen in a while, not to mention the most exciting and entertaining. It's good to know the cup will finally be coming back...

If you haven't heard, the Bruins have traded Joe Thornton to San Jose, in exchange for Marco Sturm, Wayne Primeau, and Brad Stuart. Boston saves 1.6 million in cap room. What do you think? Personally, I think Boston has gotten a much better deal than people seem to be giving them credit...

Didn't get a chance to see the game. Checked the boxscore on nhl.com, and there were a tonne of penalties in the third. Can anyone tell me what happened - the explanations on nhl.com and tsn.ca are pretty sparse, probably as they're trying to discourage fighting and such. Thanks in advance.

It's still ongoing, but England's pool is set, and they have avoided getting a pool with two other contenders. Barring some kind of collapse, they should be through. Whichever pool gets the US is going to be a really fun one to watch
