  1. SMT Component Heads

Does anyone know if there exists a SMT distributor here in Ottawa? I was particularly looking into the SMT Solitaire model of fairway wood / hybrid. If anyone has used SMT heads or even the Solitaire, any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, amac

  2. Adding length to Momentus Sand Wedge

Just call me an idiot with the Golf Channel and a credit card...(just kidding). I recently ordered a 56 degree Momentus Sand Wedge both as a training tool for my chipping and pitching, but also to play on the course (USGA approved). My problem is that (being 6'4"), it is two inches shorter than...

  3. SMT 455 DB or Spectrum

Anyone out there have an opinion on either of these driver heads? I currently use an SMT HP 420 driver, and really like it. I have become a big supporter of SMT heads. As a driver junkie, I'd like to get either the 455 DB or the Spectrum and try it out with a different shaft combination...

  4. Driver Lie Angle

Hi all, I was looking into a few of the SMT driver heads on their website, and I noticed that the DB 455 has a lie angle of 56 degrees, while the Spectrum's is 58 degrees. This is not a SMT question, though. I have a natural draw tendancy off the tee, and would not need a driver to add to...

Does anyone know of a good place to go in the Ottawa area to have a long putter built? I've tried many combinations from Golfworks, but this time I would like to go to another clubfitter in the area to get it done. Any advise would be appreciated.

  7. 335 vs 350 tip driver question

Hi all, Here's a newbie question for you. Is it possible to insert a 335 tip driver shaft in a head suited for a 350 tip shaft? If so, will the 'adjustments' necessary alter the shaft characteristics at all? If it matters, the affected clubhead is a Callaway FT-5. Any advise would be...

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone on these boards knew if SMT Golf is still around. I play with their driver, 3 wood, and hybrid and love them. That said, they have not released a new driver head in 3 or 4 years, and I can't seem to access their discussion forum from their website any...

  12. Fairway wood lie angles.

Why don't manufacturers offer more options for lie angles on fairway woods. it seems high lofted fairwoods and hybrids should have these options. If a 3 iron can fly off line due to a bad lie angle wouldn't a fariway or utility wood? Thanks in Advance. Cheers

The stock shaft in my Hogan Apex Edge forged irons is a Royal Precision #3 regular shaft that is frequency matched. I tested both #7 at 304cpms and E (aka PW) at 313cpms so approximately a 4cpm increase the shorter the iron - not too bad for OEM I guess. Would upgrading to a Rifle 4.5 or...
