  1. Now that's a shaft...

According to a friend of mine who's in the know about such things, Tiger is using a specially designed TrueTemper DG X-100 shaft in his Ignite driver that is tipped between 2-3 inches, putting it in the XX to XXX flex range. (!) Additionally, the average X-100 has 14 steps on the surface of the...

  3. Hot Melt Success!

It worked! 4g of hot melt glue-gun glue in a 260cc titanium driver head. I heated the sole with the face up at a 45* angle so no glue would touch the face, moved the heat gun around every 8-10 min, and the glue was totally melted. Then I let it cool in a slightly toe up position, face still up....

  4. Changing shafts on X14 pros

Hi; Last year I got a great deal on some used Callaway X14 pro irons. The only problem is that they came with the Rifle 5.5 shafts, and I am more of a regular flex player. (5 iron 160 yards) Now my game doesnt seem to suffer, but if I can get another 10 yards out of that 5 iron, I would be...

  5. Old/new fashion ?

Have any of you noticed that many members of the European Tour using long putter have returned to the use of a standard grip on the top portion? (e.g. : B.Langer...) This was the trend when the first long putters appeared. Anybody knows the reason for the fad?

On a couple of occasions, I have ben asked to replace grips on putters that are Face balanced. (one is a Titleist, the other an older Callaway).
