Have you guys heard that Gatineau GC is going to lose some land cause the city is building a swimming pool? It seems that they are losing the short par 4 and long par 3 beside the boulevard.

Based on the lengthy discussion in another thread, I've pulled out the courses that have been mentioned by posters as to what local course could host the Canadian Open given some work. Which course do you think has the best (realistic) chance? Sorry if I missed any, I've added an "other" choice.

I think I can talk for most of us and wonder how in the hell this course can open this early, with the conditions they are known to have during the year. Although, you'll see me there on the 9th. :o :noddin :noddin :noddin

Are a lot of driving ranges open right now? This will be my first year golfing and obviously, I will need practice. I know of only three driving ranges and do not know if they are open. Just read in the Sun this morning that Ottawa is still on a list to host the 2008-2009 Bell Canadian Open. They are talking about either Hunt Club or Eagle Creek. Wouldnt that be awsome. :-) Right in our own backyard. :cool

Whats the best indoor range? I've been to Landsdowne park, you get 100 yards to hit your shots, so you tell if your shots are slicing or hooking (or fading/drawing ;) ) Are there any similar ranges? How do others compare? Thanks for any info

FYI - The first round of the Canadian Tour's opening tour stop at Barton Creek in Texas will air today starting at 4 pm on the Golf Channel. This will be Lee Curry's first event as a professional. For those who don't know Lee, he is the best amatuer player to come out of this area in many years....
