On what date did you start de season last year, and where ? In the Ottawa region

You have to play Cobden :) :thumbsup Played today--hardly anyone there--everything cut and all the leaves blown off greens and fairways. They have punched the fairways but all the plugs have been picked up. Got to go back--Casselview tomorrow.

The weather network says 50-75mm have fallen and some places could get 100mm. Nation is usually good. Stonebridge can handle some water, but I dunno about this much. Please tell me Hammond drains well.... I have an OVGA tourny on Monday.

For the first time in about 10 years, I had the pleasure of playing at the Royal Ottawa in a tournament, yesterday. By far, it was the best conditioned golf course that I have ever played. The fairways were perfect, while the greens were smooth as silk and running about 12 on the Stimpmeter....

I'm thinking of getting a membership next year. I was thinking of getting one at glenmar AND one at greensmere or the canadian. I figure I've played enough golf this year to to have covered the cost of two memberships. Maybe if I get only one membership I can pocket an extra $1300 bucks next season...

As the title says. Management claims to have only covered 6 greens this winter - blaming unpredictable fall weather for not being able to finish. A lot of hearsay going around, but some think the greens are in worse shape than we are being told, could be gone for the season. Sad to see...
